This place is awesome! It was recommended to me by my friend and I'm really glad we came here. We ate outside on the patio where it was nicely shaded. Parking is a bit difficult to find but there was 1 hour parking available in the neighborhood.
The staff here is super friendly and didn't give me a headache at all when I wanted to substitute sweet potatoes instead of tomatoes for my Keto Bowl. The food was delicious. I ate everything up and didn't feel bloated after eating the Keto Bowl. The flavors went super well together.
Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a yummy bite to eat at the beach. -

I've eaten here several times and my experiences here are fairly consistent. The food is OK. There are modern trend healthy options including kale, grains and avocado toast. If you don't want potatoes with your breakfast they don't share this on their menu but they'll substitute sliced tomatoes. Today was the first I learned of this although I've asked so many many times and have ended up paying an extra $2.50 for cottage cheese, fresh fruit or even more for a green salad to accompany my eggs. The toast is 1 thick slice unless you get english muffin - then you get the traditional 2 pieces. My breakfast today today was ok and the tomato slices were still quite green. My eggs and toast were properly prepared. Service is usually swift and friendly. I laughed the time the server was making change for our check at the table and asked if we wanted our coin - she carried a strong foreign accent and was encouraging the tradition of European extra tip.
I always sit outside as the inside can be warm and stuffy. The place is dog friendly. You can lock your bike to their front fence or a parking meter. Parking in the area is generally scarce and expensive. On weekends be prepared to wait while standing on the sidewalk. -

I didn't care for this spot, at all. First off, there are flies everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Like 4+ circling around as I try to eat my food without swallowing one whole. So we sat outside, as it was first available and little do we know that it is trash day. So as trash is being picked up we get two big whiffs of the most foul smelling air which lingered for a minute. Gross.
I ordered a iced hazelnut coffee and California Benedict. The first coffee was great. When I got a refill, instead of just putting the hazelnut flavor in, they brought out a side of it so I can add. A bit weird for me as they just added it themselves initially which was perfectly fine. My friend accidentally ended up thinking it was syrup and poured it all over her pancakes. The eggs Benedict were okay. Something about the eggs just had a distinct taste. I felt like there was no salt or it just lacked something. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my visit and will more than likely not be back. -

YUM. Strolled onto the beach around 2:30 for brunch, hoping to not catch attitude as this place closes at 3. The vibes were great! I picked a nice small table with ocean views and sat. The buslady or waitress or owner--who knows lol--was kind enough to give me change for the meter after bringing water and flatware. All the parking around here is metered 24/7/365 and they're old school, cash only meters. At least until you're down by the pier. Be advised.
The waitress was so nice and though I pretty much figured out what I wanted in 30 seconds, walked me through getting EXACTLY what I wanted!! I ordered coffee--piping hot and fresh at 2:30pm on a Saturday FTW!!! Then I ordered the white corn scramble, which was SO FREAKING DELICIOUS and, to top that off, cream cheese stuffed berry French toast (*judge your mama*) because I hadn't eaten in 18 hours or so and really wanted to try it!
Oh MY Goodness!!! The corn scramble was SO GOOD. The havarti cheese peeked through nicely and with a little Cholula hot sauce it was HEAVENLY! I ate the entire thing before I touched the French toast. The French toast is RICH. The berries are fresh, the cream cheese filling is decadent and it's not coated in powdered sugar like most sweetish bread offerings are. It was SO GOOD. I was nearly full but finished an entire slice before giving up and packing the other one to go.
The vibes were good, the view was phenomenal, the beach was much less crowded here than further down nearer to the pier, the service was amazing and the food was DELECTABLE. That's what I call a home run! -

Martha's has long been a local favorite, known for a plethora of vegetarian options and exotic scrambles. Upon my most recent visit, I discovered that their menu has changed and offerings are much more typical diner restaurant now. I am disappointed to say the least. Gone are the sun dried tomatoes, the artichoke hearts, the feta cheese... the menu is completely different and as such, the place is. They should change their name. I am told this is due to a change in ownership. I've been coming to Martha's for about 10 years and was excited to show it to a close friend, only to arrive and long for the options of old.
Very disappointing. Are there any other local eateries that offer the vegetarian scramble options I am seeking? RIP Martha's.
